Thank you for your interest in The Echewa Fund. We help make the dream of college a reality for first-generation college youth in Philadelphia. College scholarships of $7,000 are awarded annually to students who demonstrate commitment to academics and personal excellence in the face of adversity. We honor Dr. Willie W. Echewa who was the first in her family to finish high school. She devoted 30 years of her teaching career to Philadelphia's public school system where she helped students reach their potential. Our goal is to create more success stories like Dr. Echewa's among Philadelphia's youth!

We are celebrating 10 years!!!
We are well on our way to achieving our $20,000 fundraising goal in celebration of our 10th year anniversary in 2020. We are extremely proud of our graduates and grateful to all of our donors for believing in our mission and enabling The Echewa Fund to make the hopes and dreams a reality for 9 dynamic young women of the Philadelphia area. Thanks to your support, in June 2020, we will award our 10th scholarship!
